These are lists of the contents of one (or more) field. Purpose of lists can be:
- Easy entry of references
- Keep track of what is entered (keywords, noun forms, etc.)
- Ability to use different formats for the content of a field (abbreviations of journal names)
Lists can be used to facilitate the entry of references. This is a useful tool for keeping consistent registration practices.
